We happened to be at the right place and time. We also were at Sana Ana and the Bird Walk guides had no one with them so they took us to the Great Horned Owl's nest. We saw her with her eyes half closed--very lovely. I also spotted an Aplomado Falcon on the way home from SPI. Thought of you. Lorna G.
