Painted Buntings SPI 4/8

Gunnar posted a a Painted Bunting without identifying it.  An Englishman asked the names writing it looks like a bird with paint thrown on it.  I don't know which I like more, when they are in the sunlight or in the shadows.  Both are stunning!  I just read that male Painted Bunting are in danger during migration of illegal capture and sold as pets in cages.
