Golden-fronted Woodpecker

The Golden-fronted Woodpecker is a stunning colorful bird. The front that is golden is the above the beak and the golden orange is repeated on the ape of the neck. The male has a red cap. This woodpecker range is mostly Texas and Mexico. As the photos reveal, this is a male. 

The golden is showing on the front of his head and and at the nape of the neck.
