Windy Days in RGV

It was a very windy weekend at Santa Ana and Alamo, TX. So the bird activity was a little strange. A Spotted Sandpiper was sitting on limbs instead of searching the shoreline for lunch.  The Anis were in the tall grasses and would stick their heads up like popcorn. The hawks were low in the trees when they weren't soaring high. Two Caracaras and a Killdeer were on the gravel path through the Pintail Lakes.  A White-tail hawk sat high in a the tree. The Teal were unaffected except on the sheltered side of the pond.
