American Avocets

Brushline Road consists of brush, trees along a gravel road with small ponds, cropland and rough lands. So there is wide variety of birds including ducks, and shorebirds. There were the usual suspects of teal and grebes. It was grand seeing American Avocets in a small   flooded part of a field. These Avocets were the first for the year for me. They are so elegant and graceful, only thing missing was their breeding colors.
