Ringed Kingfisher Flying the Levee 1/21

The Ringed Kingfisher is the largest Kingfisher in the Americas. It in habits the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf Coast of Texas.  We got lucky leaving the area and driving on top of the levee.  I spotted the Ringed Kingfisher low on the bank near the water.  He flew ahead of us and perched many times on trees or shrubs hanging over the levee.
