Orioles, Tanagers, and Sapsuckers SPI 4/15

Both the Convention Center and Sheephead Lots were filled with Orioles, Baltimore and Orchard.  Summer Tanagers came before the Western Tanagers who made an appearance after we left Texas.  Orioles are somewhat difficult to identified. The immature and females are the most confusing.
Orchard Oriole (above) do make it MN.
Baltimore Orioles

Summer Tanagers breed in the Southeast. Scarlet Tanagers are in MN.

Yellow-billed Sapsuckers migrate to Minnesota and winter in Texas.
