Black-crowned Night Heron

What a treat to spot a Night Heron from our own house. I saw a long winged gray bird fly up in the tree from the lake shore. It took a while to spot him in the camouflage of the oak tree. His crown was not very black but he was a find none the less. Still looking for warblers but seeing humming birds and orioles.
